Train to Ella, a scroll journey by Pasindu Panditharathna
Before the first whistle
Dawn in the hill country. The platform is quiet, the lanterns are still lit, and the blue train is waiting.
The line begins to climb
Past the signal the track bends away from town and starts the long, slow climb into the hills.
Green, all the way down
Tea terraces fold across the hillside in careful rows. The train threads through them like a stitch.
A few seconds of dark
The tunnel swallows the sound of the wheels. When the light comes back, everything has changed.
Nine arches, no steel
Stone and patience. The viaduct curves out over the forest, and the train crosses it slowly.
The land falls away
The hills step back and the whole valley opens. Haze softens everything to gold.
End of the line
This is the last stop. Thanks for riding. Say hello if you want something like this built.

This journey is built entirely in code: no 3D models and no image textures. Scroll back up and try the lantern, the signal and the viaduct to see how it works.
